Bass Guitar for Beginners — 30-Day Path from Zero
Thirty daily sessions that take you from your first note on bass to playing solid grooves locked to a metronome.
0% · completed (saved in this browser)
This path is for complete beginners on a 4-string electric bass. No music reading or theory is required. Sessions take 15 to 30 minutes; do them on consecutive days if you can, and repeat any day that does not feel solid.
By day 30 you will be able to tune your bass, play with alternating fingers in time with a metronome at up to 100 BPM, find the natural notes on the E and A strings, play root-fifth, octave and arpeggio patterns under any chord, read bass tab, follow a chord progression and play a simple walking line.
What you need: a bass and amplifier (or headphones), the tuner, the metronome, and printouts of bass tab paper and the bass fretboard notes chart.
