Blank Bass Fretboard Diagrams

What it is

Empty fretboard diagrams for 4-string bass, frets 0–12, with fret markers.

How to use it

• Print at 100% scale on A4 or US Letter.
• Mark notes with dots, roots with a circle or a different colour.
• Write note names or scale degrees inside the dots.

Ideas

• Memory test: fill in all the notes from memory, then check with the bass fretboard notes chart.
• Draw the major scale shapes for bass and connect them along the neck.
• Mark root, third, fifth and seventh of a chord to see arpeggio shapes for bass arpeggios.
• Plan walking lines by marking the target notes of each chord.
