What it is
A rhythm reference chart. A note tree shows how a whole note divides into 2 half notes, 4 quarters, 8 eighths and 16 sixteenths. Next to it: the matching rests, dotted notes, ties and triplets, with their length in beats in 4/4 time.
How to use it
- Print at 100% and keep it with your rhythm worksheets.
- Look up any note value you don't recognise while reading music.
- Use it for clapping drills: point at a row and clap it with the metronome while counting aloud.
